  • 10 grammar
As a review, I suggest trying the activities on the multi-ROM again and also trying the vocabulary and grammar exercises in the Top Notch student book. Also, the unit-study guide PDF files which are available on the multi-ROM provide a good checklist for your revision.

Mid-term Speaking Test Comments

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for taking the speaking test so seriously. I think you all prepared well and that helped you in your tests. These are the best speaking tests that I have ever seen!

It is always really pleasing for me to watch you all speak together in English! I told you that the time during the test will go fast!

I have put a lot of thought into the design of this test and I think that preparing well and doing this test is a great way to improve your English. I honestly think that all of you improved your English in the first half of the course. I know you have to think about your grades, but I think you can all feel good about the fact that your spoken English is improving.

The final test will be a little more challenging, but the format will be similar. You can study will take the tests in your groups and the format will be discussion style. The difference will be that you will have to prepare for a wider range of topics. However, I will reveal these topics during our class time.

Please try to make the most of our class time to speak just like you did in your speaking tests. I know that all of you can speak in English. The more you practice, the more you will improve.

If you want to know more about your speaking test results, please send me a request by email.

See you in class and thanks again for your efforts.
Greg.
